Volunteer Work

Usher Khan believes volunteering is one of the most meaningful ways to learn, serve and grow. His volunteer experiences have included hospital emergency department support, local community service and international medical outreach through Project Alajuelita.

Through hospital volunteering, Khan gained exposure to fast-paced healthcare environments and learned the importance of calm communication, empathy and professionalism. His participation in Project Alajuelita further strengthened his interest in public health, pediatrics and service to underserved communities.

Science Tutoring

In addition to his medical interests, Usher Khan works independently as a Science Tutor for high school and college students. He enjoys helping students understand challenging concepts, build confidence and improve their academic performance.

Before tutoring independently, Khan worked as a Senior Educator, Instructor and Manager at Kabir’s Prep, where he helped students prepare for standardized tests while strengthening his leadership, communication and teaching skills.
